Pet Helpers mission is to end euthanasia of all adoptable cats and dogs by keeping all animals until adopted; providing low-cost spay/neuter surgeries; offering humane education programs; pursuing animal-cruelty prosecution; and initiating animal-welfare legislation.Pet Helpers also supports the community through the Pet Helpers Pet Food Bank, Unchain Charleston to build fences and free dogs from chains, Levi's Legacy to support owners seeking critical veterinary care, and offering affordable preventative veterinary care through the low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Pet Helpers is a private 501(c)3 animal welfare organization that relies primarily on the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and corporations for support to continue its mission. Since inception in 1978, Pet Helpers has helped save more than 49,000 lives, and continues to do so, no matter what is going on in the world around it.
